Sage MIP Fund Accounting - The Top 10 Reasons to Upgrade to Version 10.2 NOW Lora-Jean Gorecki
If you haven't already installed version 10.2 of Sage MIP Fund Accounting, it is time to do so. This version comes with many compelling improvements, enhancements, and features to convince you to get on board and upgrade as soon as possible.
Here is a list we've come up with to help get you motivated to install our latest and greatest ASAP:
- Without ever having to log on to www.sagesoftwareonline.com, you can now submit your product ideas, improvements, and enhancements to us with just one click! The new Customer Enhancement Portal enables Sage MIP Fund Accounting users to provide closed loop feedback. A customer making a request or offering a suggestion through the portal will receive an auto-response. When Sage updates the status of that requested enhancement, the customer submitting or sponsoring the idea will receive notification. Customers may also log in at any time using their e-mail addresses to see the status of their submissions.
- We are also launching two new network builders where you can connect with even more Sage customers, in our new Sage Nonprofit and Government Solutions Communities. Share ideas, participate in community conversations, find products and services, and share your needs and experiences directly with our staff!
- Upgrading your server from a version back as far as 8.0 is now easier than ever, just pop in the CD and you are off and running! No more need to install incrementally to get to the current version. And if you are installing from a version prior to 8.0, upgrade is still possible and we have documentation and support to help you with the process.
- Improved report drill-down functionality from within financial statements allows users to more accurately search financial records.
- New State Unemployment Tax Act (SUTA) reporting fields, available within the Payroll Pay Codes and Tax History reports, make it easier for users to reconcile, track and file state unemployment taxes. In the Pay Codes report, we have added additional employee information such as Hire Date, City, State, and Zip Code.
- The 1099/W-2G form has been added to the product; it is used to record gambling winnings. Additionally, the W-2 wizard has been improved and we have added support for new forms for Puerto Rico, Guam, and New Jersey. The ability to sort in 1099 has been dramatically improved.
- Users can now more easily send e-mail messages directly from within the Electronic Requisitions module, with fewer configuration restrictions. A new hyperlinked “click to mail” feature enables users to e-mail employees with addresses stored in Sage MIP Fund Accounting directly from within the Payroll module.
- Form 990 reporting now includes Part 1, 8, 9, and 10, with both summary and detailed formats.
- The GASB (Governmental Accountings Standards Board) module is more flexible, with improved settings for agencies in the public sector.
- Expanded import capabilities in v10.2 streamline data processing and reduce possible errors created by large amounts of manually entered data. We have also added two new commands: one for importing with blanks, and one for importing updated information on timesheets.

Sage Fundraising 100 & Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition - Let donors know where their money is being spent!
Donors donate where their hearts belong…so are you letting your donors know you are following their hearts?
While thanking a donor for their contribution, did you know you can include their fund designations in the body of the letter? Including designations shows your accountability to your donor and indicates you will be earmarking the money according to his or her wishes. It gives the donor a sense of satisfaction of really supporting “their” causes. A donor who visually sees their contributions going to a designated area are more apt to donate again to the same cause in the future.

Millennium - Audit Logs Enable Accountability and Data Integrity
New to Millennium 7.8 is the ability to audit and keep track of data inserts, updates, and deletes made to specified tables by Millennium users. We have added 33 new tables to the database to facilitate the audit process, making accountability and data integrity a much easier task.
Millennium System Administrators or the Database Administrator can configure the system options to enable audit logging on designated tables (Address, Basic Data, Dues and Giving, just to name a few). Once auditing is configured, Millennium performs audit logging in the background. Millennium System Administrators or the Database Administrator can view audit log reports and purge audit logs as needed.
For complete details on this subject, please visit our Sage Millennium Knowledgebase at http://sagesoftwareonline.com and refer to Article # 311075.
