How the American Express Business Finance Program Works
- Sage Software has partnered with American Express Business Finance through a non-exclusive vendor agreement. American Express Business Finance is an independent financial agent that works directly with the customer to arrange financing. American Express Business Finance administers the entire program, from application through billing and collection.
- On Standard term leases, the American Express Business Finance Program is structured as a "One Dollar Buyout Financing," which means there are no additional costs at the end of the financing term. The customer, not the finance company, is the licensee and owns the software at the end of the lease.
- To participate in the program, the Sage Software business partner
must first fill out and submit the Pre-fund
Qualification Form. Doing this NOW can speed up the approval
cycle and bypass the paperwork later by pre-qualifying you to participate
in this program!
Once you’ve been approved, you will be given a user name and password and have access to the American Express Financing Web site through a link on the BOSS Finance Site. American Express will send you a packet with all the details, including the option of personalizing your customer application, linking to the American Express Financing Web site via your own home page, and more. - The Sage Software business partner develops the total solution price and calculates the customer's monthly payments with the on-line calculator. Or, they may contact American Express for the financing proposal, offering a few different lease options.
- The business partner can fill out and submit the American Express Business Finance Program customer application on-line. Or, the customer may fax or e-mail the application directly to American Express Business Finance.
- The Sage Software partner applies for and receives project pre-funding (up to 50%) from American Express Business Finance.
- Upon approval, the customer signs and returns the American Express Business Finance Program Agreement form to their Sage Software business partner for approval by American Express. Sage Software partners place software, services and equipment orders with their vendors, as usual.
- Upon completion of the project, American Express Business Finance releases the balance of the project funds to the Sage Software business partner and the lease commences.
