Sage MIP Fund Accounting V9.0 has great new time saving functionality!

So, how do you actually do that?  With Tax Forms & eFiling by Aatrix®, Sage MIP Fund Accounting will pre-populate any forms available with your live payroll data.  On-screen reviewing and editing will make your compliance reporting easier and much less complicated.

This powerful new functionality also allows you to eFile and print in-house your State as well as Federal tax and compliance forms. Additionally, if you need to make a tax liability payment you will have the option of submitting your money through EFT with your eFiled form or separately by printing a traditional payment coupon all in one easy process.

All forms are historically saved and encrypted for future reference and resubmission if needed.

For more information on this time saving new tool please visit the KnowledgeBase at www.sagesoftwareonline.com Article #281585.

Coming Soon: In V10 of Sage MIP Fund Accounting the Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix® functionality will replace our current Accounts Payable 1099 process.  The 1099 forms MISC, R, INT, and DIV along with State Tax Withholding capabilities will all be available in this new release – coming late Spring 2008.

*Please note, if a form that you need is not available – please submit a Fund Accounting Enhancement Request through www.sagesoftwareonline.com.

By using the NCOA utility in conjunction with a licensed NCOA service provider, constituents’ addresses can be validated against current United States Postal Service information (National Change of Address Database) and any resulting address corrections can then be loaded into your database via the NCOA utility.

Although there are several steps involved when using the NCOA utility (Administration> Utilities> NCOA Matching), the process can be broken down into two basic components.

  1. The first component requires you to create the NCOA formatted file to send to your NCOA licensed vendor for processing.
  2. The second component comprises reloading the input file the NCOA licensed vendor returns to you.  It is critical to communicate to your vendor that the file be returned in the Lorton500 format.  This file format is the only format the NCOA utility will accept for processing. Address updates cannot be achieved through any other utility/feature in Sage FR50; therefore it is vital that the file sent and received for this purpose is in the correct format.

You will save money when you take a portion of your marketing efforts in-house.  In this article we will not debate the pros and cons of doing that, but rather show you how you can do your own random sampling, mail-out different packages, code donations with solicitation codes, and analyze the success of your targeted mailings.  Once you are able to perform these functions, regardless of where you decide to place the actual creative content, a role your organization will benefit by having the skill and knowledge of, whom they are actually targeting and the results of those actions.

For additional information visit the many articles available about Solicitation Manager on the Knowledgebase at http://www.sagesoftwareonline.com by entering solicitation in the search field.

Millennium 7.6.1 Windows Client and Data Examiner Import Tool Must be Reinstalled

Did you know that the install path for the Millennium Client and the Data Examiner Import Tool has changed? This was done in order to make these applications Windows Vista Business Edition a supported operating system. The installation of the 7.6.1 Millennium client and the Data Examiner import Tool is now delivered to C:\Millennium. Regardless of your operating system, sites that have either of these two applications installed on any computer will need to remove them and then reinstall them when they upgrade to Millennium 7.6.1.
In versions prior to 7.6.1, these install files were directed to either C:\Program Files\Millennium Client or C:\Program Files\Data Examiner Import Tool. To uninstall, go to the Control Panel and select add/remove programs. Find and remove the eDirectory import Wizard and the Millennium Client. When you are finished, be sure to confirm the Windows uninstaller has deleted the original directories.

For complete details on this new installation requirement, please visit our Sage Millennium Knowledgebase at http://sagesoftwareonline.com and refer to Article #264763.
